the weather is ridiculous this summer - I've gone from a 43 degree day, to needing a cardigan today

hair looks hot (not temperature hot)

It always amuses me to hear people in the Southern Hemisphere talk about summer and heat in December/January. Here in the Northern Hemisphere we are dealing with cold, snow and ice. It is refreshing to know that somewhere it is hot and people are relying on their air conditioners to make it through the day/night.

Today we were in the 50s (Farenheit) in the next couple of days it will drop even lower for highs in the low 40s. They are calling for snow flurries. I'm in the warmer part of the US.

btw....I prefer winter. I hate hot, makes me sick.n I love wearing sweaters, layers and knee socks.

Love your nail polish!
That is pre-haircut, Cat. Even better now! ;)
Your sandals are really nice - are they "sensible" ones? (what brand?)
What do the temps get up to in the Summer where you are, Eeyore. Usually only up to around 30 degrees C here in Sydney but can get quite oppressive when you couple that with humidity.
thanks. Me too. I had an image of this colour in my mind's eye before going shopping and not only did I find it but it was on the 50% off shelf! It is a Revlon one.
Yes, they are "sensible" Kumfs sandals. Unfortunately they don't seem to make this style anymore or I would get some new ones just the same. The only problem with them is that they tend to dye my feet black. My mother in law actually returned a pair of sandals that were doing that to her feet. I am willing to put up with it as I like these sandals so much.
Nice tosies !!
Thanks LB. I am back in covered shoes with socks today.
Australia... lucky, it's -43 Celsius where I am in Canada.
Found your post exploring Vox.... love your hair =D

Thanks Amber. My grandfather and his family actually migrated from Canada to Australia back in the 1920s. I would love to visit Canada one day but maybe not in Winter.

Our normal highs in the summer are in the 90's (F) with high humidity. You can feel the air, it's miserable. I would like to live in a more temperate climate, some place that gets all four seasons. But, I'm stuck in Alabama, USA; which means no real winter and a long hot summer.

I hate hot.

Good stuff all around!
Hope your migraine getting better. I almost K.O. last week going out at 37 degree heat. But I reckon that Australian summer is not as hot as it used to be. *Touch wood*
oh dear, migraine is nasty especially during work :-s
here a hug for you and hoping you feel much better now
THanks Nur. This one only lasted a day so I am feeling much better now thanks.
It tends to go in cycles I think. This summer gearing up to be a hot one in Sydney.
Sounds similar to Sydney. My home town Melbourne was actually the inspiration for the Crowded House song 'Four Seasons in ONe Day'. Although both temperate cities, there is a huge difference in the climate.
